Comings and Goings in San Diego

Sometimes the skies are so beautiful here in San Diego.  Mostly, San Diego is beautiful.  I love the early morning walks down by the lake and the interesting skies.  It's generally very pleasant here.  Today has been an exception.  The temperature got up to 94 degrees and is expected to reach 98 degrees by Friday, with Santa Anna winds that have kicked up.  In the Coleman's back yard, there are numerous citrus trees.  We haven't been able to eat all the fruit, so we have given some to our neighbors and friends.  But, it is very yummy, especially the tangerines.

Buddy is one of our favorite young men.  He is our mission leader   and is really on the ball.  This picture is of him and Bri on his birthday.
A couple of weeks ago, two of the senior couples invited us to go with them on a tour around San Diego.  These couples were both military couples and could get us on some military bases.  We saw two big carrier ships and a lot of the military bases.  We also went to Coronado Island and ate lunch at a wonderful restaurant and then walked around the area.  It was such a nice outing.  Sometimes we just need a little older company.
Our Institute director (Marty Morgan) had his 49th birthday on April 28, so during our Wednesday lunch at the institute, we celebrated.
It was also administrative assistant's day, and so we celebrated our secretary, Sister Formanek.  She is a delight to work with.
On Sunday, we invited our neighbor, Saul Madrid, for dinner.  We had pleasant conversation and eating together.
We are keeping busy and have to teach several classes next week.  The Gospel is true and we love the work we are doing.
