Happy Anniversary, Amy and Billy

Two years ago, yesterday, April 26th, 2010, Billy and Amy were married.  It was a wonderful event and we really enjoyed meeting the Brennans and having our family all together.

Owen's Birthday and Easter

Can you believe these happy faces!  These boys (Owen and Jacob) love to dance, and the bats are their guitars.  What fun.
We took Owen to the library and he wanted to spell our names.  I helped him and he was very proud.
This little Jacob is an amazing boy.  He is in kindergarten and reads up a storm.  And, besides that, he has an incredible attention span and listens and retains.  Watch out, Matt and Stacie, you've got a bright little boy.
For Owen's birthday, we went to the "Hands On" Museum, and the boys had a ball.  There are a ton of really great things to see and do there.  Above, they are trying to pack a miniature truck from a miniature house.
Jacob and Owen are dressed and ready to drive the fire engine.
After the museum and eating out, we went home to open presents and have the great Charlie Brown cake, that Stacie made.  Owen wanted a Charlie Brown cake.
The cake was yummy.
Owen had LOTS of presents and had a great time opening them.
Saturday morning, we had a little Easter egg hunt in the back yard.  The weather was perfect and made for great fun.  Grandma hid the eggs one time and then after the boys had found them all, they wanted Grandpa to hide them all again.  It was fun.
Later in the afternoon, we went over to the Alice Edwards home and had a BIG Easter Egg hunt with lots of kids and adults.  It was fun.
We were able to take a nice family picture before we had to leave for the airport.
We had such a nice visit with Matt and Stacie and their cute little kids.  Thanks for your hospitality.

Conference and Pancakes, Of Course

We had such a great time with Matt's and Stacie's family during conference.  As you can see, the boys made a tent, like the people did in the times of King Benjamin.  They both had their conference packets and activities and were super listeners.  Jacob was amazing.  He drew a picture of what each speaker said and labeled it with their name underneath.  When I asked him who was his favorite speaker, he said President Monson.  I asked him what President Monson said and he said:  "He talked about where we came from (Heaven), why we're here (experience and body) and where we are going (to live with Heavenly Father).  He also talked about the boat sailing to and fro."  What a smart little "cookie."
The boys also put together a Book of Mormon puzzle.
Of course, conference pancakes were on the menu for breakfast.  Matt and Stacie invited their friends over to enjoy it with us.  As you can see, they helped turn the pancakes.
Those pancakes were "yummy."  We love conference pancakes.  Jacob got in on the fun of flipping the pancakes too.  Even Grandpa Dick participated.
It was also great that Dick was able to attend Priesthood meeting with Matt.  Stacie, her friend and I watched "Runaway Bride."

We really enjoyed conference and the wonderful talks that were given.  It was fun to be with Matt and Stacie and the children.

Our New Granddaughter, Anna Rochelle Dalebout

Is there anything better than being a grandparent?  I don't think so.  We were able to travel to Canton, Michigan and see Matt and Stacie and their cute little kids.  We met our newest granddaughter, Anna Rochelle Dalebout, who was born February 18, 2012.  What a darling little baby and what a good baby she is.  She even showed us that she could smile, alot.  How fun it was to be in Michigan with this cute family.
Anna and Matt enjoy some quality time together.
She did great in her carseat.
Stacie enjoys her special time with Anna.  Stacie is really a good mother and is very diligent in taking care of her family.  We love you, Stacie.
Do you think he's a proud father?

Piano Recital

Here are three nice grandchildren:  Spencer, 14; Zack, 10; and Alison, 12.  I was their piano teacher for a few years and really enjoyed teaching them.  They are bright and diligent in practicing.  I was so amazed when we came home from our mission to find out how much they have improved and progressed.  They are playing very difficult piano pieces, and it was fun to attend their piano recital.
They are really growing up and I love them.
