September and October were busy months also. I was able to attend two of Milly's soccer games. She is a great little player and knows how to play soccer. Love that sweet smile and that sweet girl.
Dick's dad was able to come to Provo for a four-day visit. We took him to Midway to see Scott and Shelley's family. We were able to attend church with them and then have a nice dinner with them. We also had a nice dinner and family home evening with Ryan's and Jenny's family. So, Grandpa was able to see some of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. On one day, we took him for a ride up Sqaw Peak drive. The above picture is what we saw through Rock Canyon: Utah Valley.
I loved this cute picture of Dad as he was sitting in the truck.
When we were taking Dad back to Logan, we stopped in Ogden and had him stand by the street sign where the house that he grew up in was at one time. The house standing now is not his house, but it was on the same lot, right on the corner of Monroe and 27th Streets. We had a very enjoyable visit with Dad. He is very pleasant company.
Matt also came to visit. Ford sent him to do some recruiting at BYU. Notice the Ford shirt he is wearing. We had a nice visit with him also. Those are our bonus visits from Matt once a year. Our friends from the New York Mission, Byron and Dian Merrill, came to stay overnight with us so we could go to the missionary reunion just before Conference. They are truly pleasant people and we so enjoy associating with them.
Here are five of the senior elders taking a picture of the senior ladies.
Koradene Schouten didn't get in the last picture, so I took a picture with her in it. We worked long and hard in the office together. It was a fun reunion and so great to see all the young former missionaries.
On Sunday, our family all got together to have Grandpa Dalebout pancakes. We invited Jeana Banka, who is from Michigan and whose family is in Matt's and Stacie's ward. Matt is their home teacher. Jeana is attending BYU and plays trumpet in the BYU marching band. She was a trooper. She cooked a lot of the pancakes. Of course, Scott, Andrew and others also got involved.
A conversation by the table.

Before and after lunch, we watched conference. This picture was taken after lunch, as were the next four pictures. A couple of people were awake. Conference was amazing. There were so many powerful talks. I really enjoyed listening to our leaders and being with our family.
At least Ail and Michelle Marchant were "perky."
Andrew
Lyla and Jenny
Jordan and Spencer
After Conference was over, we celebrated Ryan's 39th birthday and Matthew's 11th birthday. They are two very fine people and we love them.
Although this picture isn't the best, we were able to get everyone together and have a family picture. There is nothing better than having family together, especially when they all love each other. We were literally fed by the spirit, by food, and by family association. And, what's even better, we know that Matt and Stacie and their family and Scott and Amy and their family were all having pancakes also. What a great family tradition that Grandpa and Grandma started many years ago.

I don't think there is ever a time when you are NOT busy, is there?? As always, I have really enjoyed reading your post and looking at the lovely pictures, especially of your family.
Great pics, Evie! Sounds like October was a great month for you all. November, I have a feeling, will be even busier - and happier!
