Family Visits - Part 3

Part Three.  The day we arrived in Kansas to see Amy and family, Dick needed a haircut, so Elle helped cut his hair.
She did a pretty good job with the guard on the clippers.
Amy took us to see the Kansas City Temple the day after we got there. It is really a beautiful temple and can be seen from the freeway. It's in a very pretty place, with nice landscaping. There is also a stake center across the street, which we were able to go in when we made a return trip there on Sunday.
Ashlynn and I had a great time playing duets together.  She is really a great little piano player and we had lots of fun.

Dick was in the same room with us.  Our playing must have lulled him away into sleep, although some of it was a little peppy.

As always, we had a wonderful brunch with Bob Kimball.  He is so gracious to us each time we go to Kansas.  Thanks, Bob.  Sam was at a scout campout, so he wasn't in the picture.
Elle loves to pose on this step, so here is a picture of her.
We had a great time with Amy and Scott.  We did a lot of driving in the car, mostly to Sam's soccer tournament and to the girls' soccer practices.  I have to say that I was very proud of Sam.  He played hard and did a good job at soccer.  But even better, he gave a great talk in Sacrament meeting on the Book of Mormon.  He really had great presence of mind when he delivered his talk.  Thanks again to Scott and Amy and family for the good time we had together.
