Part 4 -- The Netherlands

After we separated from Scott and Amy and Ryan and Jenny in Brugge, we went back to our chalet and just relaxed that evening.  The next day, Ton and Dick took a walk along the beach and walked over to the dikes.  Tonny and I took a bus to Middleburg, where we did some shopping and walking around the town.  It was a beautiful little town.  At 1:00 p.m., we met Ton and Dick at a restaurant and had lunch with them. We spent the rest of the day going to another little town and looking around.  Then, we ate dinner in an Italian restaurant in Ton's and Tonny's village.  They then took us back to their home and showed us the power point presentation they gave at the large Dalebout family reunion, which we missed.  We had such a nice time with them.  They are very hospitable people and we love them.  We're glad that we know them.

 

We walked to the beach and took a look, as we hadn't seen it since we came.  There were two restaurants on the beach.

Ton came over to pick us up to take us to the airport and we got a picture of him sitting in the living area of the chalet..

Before we left, Ton took us to see his daughter, Janna Marie.  She's a very pretty girl.

In Amsterdam, we met Ryan and Jenny at the hotel we stayed in.  Below is bearded Ryan clowning around in the gift shop.

In the hotel lobby, I got in some wooden shoes and had my picture taken.

They also had a costume you could dress up in.  So, Jenny did.  Isn't she cute as a Dutch boy.

Two ladies, who were checking into the hotel, were really laughing at her.

All in all, we had a wonderful and memorable trip.  It truly was a great experience.  Ton gave us a book that he had compiled of the twelve children of Adriaan Dalebout and Martina Boot.  We love Ton and Tonny and wish they would join the church.  Maybe sometime in the future.
